Julia Perini, LCSW-C, CGP
Psychotherapist/Founder
Hello and welcome. I specialize in Clinical Behavioral Mental Health and obtained my Master’s of Social Work degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. Prior to working in a private practice setting, I gained a great deal of experience working at an intensive outpatient substance abuse clinic, providing therapy to adults and adolescents.
I promote a warm, non-judgmental space to support clients as they work to connect to themselves and the world around them. I have helped clients struggling with a variety of concerns such as anxiety, depression, family conflict, substance use, trauma, low self-esteem, stress management, and more. We all go through various life transitions, such as moving away from home for the first time. My goal in the therapeutic relationship is to help individuals navigate life’s changes and struggles, achieve greater peace, and enjoy their unique process along the way.
I use a person-centered and holistic approach to treatment that combines elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Attachment-Based Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Mindfulness. I have worked with adolescents, young adults, adults, and couples with co-occurring disorders.
With the understanding that finding the right therapist and beginning your therapeutic journey can feel overwhelming, I encourage potential clients to take the leap and schedule the initial assessment. This provides an opportunity for clients to ask me questions and discuss any concerns openly before committing to therapy.
